Pictured below is an original wood post survey monument
set in 1873 located at Mile Post 61 on the Colo/Wyo. state line. This
monument was recovered during the Soapstone Ranch survey in 2005. My
friend and fellow surveyor Charlie Russell is highlighting the scribe
marks on the post for positive identification.
